What will I learn

Expanding on the skills learned at Level 1 and 2 you will look more in depth at building methods and construction technology. You will learn how to set out complex masonry structures, arch construction, curved walls, safe working practices, quantities and communication.

How will I learn

The course is taught using both practical and theoretical methods. We will work with the skills you have gained previous in practical and build confidence before moving onto more technical work. In the classroom we will use interactive games and model bricks to assist learning. This programme of study involves other essential elements such as maths, English, tutorials, My Work Search, enrichment and work experience.

You could go on to find work in the building industry, start an apprenticeship, or go on to higher education or further training. Future careers could include bricklaying, site management or setting up your own business in the trades.
