The morning got off to a sweet start at Stockton Riverside College today as students and staff joined the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.Cakes and sweet treats were up for grabs as people tucked in for a good cause.
The event was organised by the Staff Association and saw some fantastic cakes and goodies baked and donated by College staff.
“The Macmillan coffee morning is fast becoming a firm favourite,” said Staff Association member Jen Ferguson.
“Every year we see more and more people baking and donating cakes. And when it comes to the morning itself who doesn’t enjoy a sweet treat?”
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s largest fundraising event for people facing cancer. People are invited to host their own coffee morning with all donations going to the charity. Last year more than £27m was raised nationally.
The national event takes place this Friday. For details about organising your own event visit: https://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/
