Lauren Martin has moved a step closer to her dream career after getting the results she needs to study Coroner’s Law at Sunderland University.

The 18-year-old SRC Bede Sixth Form student from Norton has picked up A levels in Geography, History and Government and Politics.

“I was nervous last night, but I felt a lot better this morning when I knew I had got my place,” she said.

The future coroner added: “I like the idea of doing something a bit different.”
