Young people in Redcar are being given the opportunity to boost their employment chances by signing up to a free 12-week course.

The Prince’s Trust Team programme offers those aged 16 to 25 and not currently in education, training or employment, the chance to build their skills by taking part in a variety of tasks and challenges.

Piloted in the town earlier this year, the course sees Team members carry out community projects, work experience, an adventure residential and fun challenges.

With Redcar now confirmed as a new permanent base for the course, delivered by Stockton Riverside College, places are still available for the programme, starting this Monday (12th September).

Team Leader Craig Murphy said: “We are delighted to once again be able to bring the Team programme to the young people of Redcar.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop new skills, meet new people, get valuable work experience and it looks great on your CV too.”

The Prince’s Trust Redcar Team takes place at the Tuned In building on Majuba Road.
