Elish Chambers is celebrating her triple A* success today at SRC Bede A level results day.

Receiving the top marks for her chosen subjects biology, chemistry and maths, Elish is now set to go on to Newcastle University to study medicine, something she has always dreamed of doing.

Speaking about her A level grades, Elish said she was completely shocked. “I’m so, so happy. We had actually already received an email from Newcastle University congratulating us on securing our places as the others were opening their envelopes, so I thought maybe I had just scraped through. But I didn’t expect to open it to three A*s so that’s even better!”

Elish hopes to go on to become a doctor after graduating university but she’s still deciding on what discipline she’d like to specialise in, but she’s especially interested in becoming a GP or a paediatrician.

She says she’s loved her time at SRC Bede, as the environment is small, personal and friendly, with great classes and supportive, committed teachers.
