*NEWS UPDATE* audition places are now full - good luck to all those taking part!

Do you believe you have got what it takes to get a chair spin from celebrity judges on The Voice?

Well now’s your chance to prove it, as the popular TV singing contest brings its open auditions to Stockton Riverside College.

Looking for talent to earn a spot in front of the celebrity judges for the 2020 series, early open auditions are now sweeping the country.

And, with a proven track record for TV talent show success, the team has included the Stockton college date.

“It’s fantastic to again be welcoming the show’s talent scouts to Stockton Riverside College in their search for the next big singing superstar,” said performing arts lecturer Sara Durkin.

“We know the talent we have here on Teesside and this is another amazing opportunity to show that off.”

The last time The Voice visited Stockton Riverside College for auditions in 2017 they discovered higher education performing arts student Carter. The bearded rock singer from Billingham went on to make it all the way through to the live shows with celebrity mentor Gavin Rossdale.

This hasn’t been the college’s only brush with TV talent shows with dancing duo Grace Durkin and Ali Rasul reaching the semi-final of Britiain’s Got Talent, also in 2017. And in 2014 Kerrianne Covell made it all the way to judges’ houses in the 2014 season of X Factor.

Could you be next? The Voice is looking for incredible solo artists, duos and trios to face those famous red chairs in 2020.

Audition spaces are now fully booked at the college.
