Five of Stockton Riverside College’s International Business students are looking to take their next step as they celebrate passing their HNC in Business.

The International students, originally from as far afield as Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh, are all looking to the future after successfully completing their course.

The students have now all started their Level 5 HND in Business.

Muhammad Kashaf-ul-Aman, originally from Pakistan praised the teaching staff for all their help and dedication in helping him achieve his goal of passing his qualification.

He said: “It’s a really good college to study at for international students – the staff are really supportive and will do everything they can to help.”

Junaed Sakim, from Bangladesh, agrees. She said: “The college is a good environment for international students. It has some great facilities and a nice atmosphere.”

The five students have all been praised for their commitment by their lecturer, Garry Fox.

He said: “Our students have done very well to achieve the qualification. They worked really hard and showed that they were truly dedicated, conscientious and focussed on getting their HNC.”

Asked what he thought made the college such a popular and successful destination for international students, Garry said: “It’s a fantastic place for international students to study.

“We have vigorous support systems in place to ensure all of our students receive the help they need to succeed.”

Abdul agrees, adding the support he received and the dedicated virtual learning environment all helped him succeed. Abdul is now hoping to go on to study for his degree in Accounting and Finance after completing his HND.
