If, like us, you love all things Oscars-related you won't want to miss the latest project from our Film & TV students.

The future filmmakers have put together a series of webisodes keeping viewers up to date with all the action from the red carpet.

"As part of our course we have an assignment on presentation techniques so that's where the idea started," said Matthew Taylor, 17, from Billingham.

But far from making it easy for themselves the students set themselves the challenge of presenting, producing and airing one showreel a day for two weeks.

"I think I can safely speak for us all when I say that the Oscars are the big dream for us all," said Danniella Cooper, 20, of Norton.

With a keen fascination for the subject the team of 11 were more than happy to dedicate their time and effort to research and produce the series.

With week one covering everything from the history of the Oscars to its politics and that all-important red carpet fashion, this week the shows  will reflect on all the news, action and controversy from last night's glittering ceremony.

The webisodes have been produced as part of the students' own enterprise, Ufilm Productions.

Matthew said: "We are proud of what we do, so the fact that it comes under Ufilms means we have a standard in mind."

Kane Smith, 18, of Ingleby Barwick said: "We have enjoyed doing it. The filming, production and research has been really interesting and we have had a good laugh as well."

With new webisodes being added every night this week, you can see the latest editions and catch up with the series so far at: http://www.facebook.com/UfilmsProductions/?hc_ref=SEARCH
