Our Public Services students have been busy exploring again, and this time they’ve been doing it to raise money for charity.

Last week both our Level 2 and Level 3 students took part in a sponsored walk and overnight camp, all to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).

Our students walked a testing 14km in five hours from Osmotherley to Carlton (carrying all of their supplies with them in packs), and then camped overnight. In the morning they woke up to find a decent frost on the ground!

We’re now looking forward to welcoming ambassadors for the Great North Air Ambulance Service to SRC Bede later in the year, where they’ll officially collect the amazing £600 our students have raised and present them with a commemorative cheque.
