Two of Stockton Riverside College’s Prince’s Trust Teams went head to head in a fun morning of sports.
The College’s Stockton and Middlesbrough Teams came together in the unique event which saw the groups compete in a variety of games at Durham University’s Queen’s Campus Sports Centre.
The event was organised by members of the College’s Prince’s Trust Stockton Team.
Team leader Melisa Marsden said: “As part of their Team Challenge the students were asked to organise an event that would engage young people in sporting activities.”
Putting together a presentation the group successfully pitched for funding from The Key Fund to help cover the cost of the activity.
And keen to get more young people involved, they invited the College’s Prince’s Trust Middlesbrough Team to join them in games such as football, dodgeball and rounders.
Stockton Team member, Martha Ash, 17 of Eaglescliffe, said: “It went really well, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
“The two teams mixed really well and it is nice to get involved with the other Teams and come together as a Prince’s Trust community.”
James, Stubbs, 18, of Middlesbrough, who is a member of the Middlesbrough Team, said: “It has been really good. It was a good opportunity to meet another Team and do something completely different.”
