Members of The Prince’s Trust Middlesbrough Team today showed what a difference 12 weeks can make.
The young people delivered their final presentation at Breckon Hill Community Centre in front of a small crowd of family and friends.

The event marked the culmination of the three month personal development programme which offers young unemployed people the chance to build their skills and improve their future employment chances by undertaking a series of tasks and challenges.
“I’ve really enjoyed it,” said Middlesbrough Team member Kimberley Myers, 19. “It’s a great course, you meet new people and the teachers are great as well.”
Available to those aged 16 to 25 the free programme, which is delivered by Stockton Riverside College, sees Team members take part in activities including a community project, team challenge, work experience and an adventure residential.
In the latest Middlesbrough Team programme the group has helped deliver an arts and crafts session at Abingdon Primary School, they enjoyed a week of fun at the Peat Rigg Outdoor Training Centre and renovated a space for young people at MAIN, Middlesbrough, with sponsorship from UK Steel Enterprise.
“For me the best part was the residential,” said Kimberley of Brambles Farm. “I got to try archery and abseiling and it was good fun.”
Kelly McKie, 21, of North Ormesby, said: “I have enjoyed everything about the course, especially the residential which has helped me face my fear of heights.”
She added: “The Prince’s Trust Team programme changes your life in a way. It has changed my life helping me to speak to people and build my confidence.”
