GCSE results day saw Michelle Kirwan setting a good example to her future students.The budding teacher scooped an A in maths and a B in Biology at Stockton Riverside College.
Currently working towards her teaching qualification, the grades came as a welcome relief to Michelle, who plans to teach functional skills.
“I’m really pleased,” she said. “Though I don’t think it will sink in until later on.”
Michelle, who previously worked for the Department for Work and Pensions, said: “I have always wanted to teach but lacked the confidence.”
Now, well on the way to her dream career, she said she’s glad she finally took the plunge.
