A happy Kane Hewson was celebrating today as he secures his first choice University.

Kane, 18, from Wynyard is off to study Media, Culture and Communications at the University of Sunderland.

Kane will be celebrating his results in Media, English Language and Music Technology
The former St Michael’s student said: “I surprised myself with my results. I am really happy to be going to my first choice.”

Happy about his time at SRC Bede Sixth Form, the Media, English Language and Music Technology student added: "It's been good! Now it's time to celebrate."
