There's further job success in our Aviation department. This time Level 3 student Lauren-Jane Pears is celebrating securing a role as a passenger service agent with Swissport at Durham Tees Valley Airport.
Now fitting working hours around her course, she said: "It's really good, seeing what the industry is actually like."
And firmly believing that the course at Stockton Riverside College helped her to achieve, she added: "I wouldn't be in this position if it wasn't for coming here."
The former Nunthorpe Academy pupil said working in the aviation industry has always been her ambition.
"I chose Stockton Riverside College because I had heard about other successful people," she said.
A work placement at the airport gave her the chance to shine, going on to apply for and successfully secure a job offer.
Now Lauren-Jane, 18, joins the ever growing number of Stockton Riverside College Aviation students to move into careers in the industry.
Offering her own words of advice to others, she said: "If you are passionate about something, do it and don't give up."
Praising the college course and its tutors, she added: "There are so many success stories about the students here, it just goes to show how good the course is."
We are still taking applications for courses starting in September. For details visit www.stockton.ac.uk/courses/aviation/ and let your career soar.
