inflatable-fun-comes-to-billinghamIt promises to be wet and wild in Billingham tomorrow (Saturday 13th June) as local businesses and residents go head to head in the Billingham Community Challenge.

The annual event will see teams tackle a host of giant inflatable games at SRC Bede Sixth Form in a bid to take home the 2015 Community Challenge title.

Organiser Pat Chambers, of the Billingham Legacy Foundation, said: “We are looking forward to another fantastic event, with around 16 teams lined up to take part.”

The plucky competitors will be supported by family and friends, who along with visitors to the event, can enjoy a host of fun activities outside the main games area, including games, sports, a climbing wall and face painting.

Inside SRC Bede Sixth Form Lottie and Jack will present a vintage fair with stalls including arts and crafts.

Launched in 2013, Pat explained that The Billingham Community Challenge was created in a bid to keep the Olympic legacy alive.

She said: “The aim is to bring the community together, helping introduce young people and their families to the wealth of activities here on our doorstep throughout the year, not just in the summer.”

The Lottie and Jack Vintage Fair will be open at SRC Bede Sixth Form, Billingham, from 11am tomorrow, with the Billingham Community Challenge kicking off on the college field from 1pm.
