Students and staff showed off their footwork this week as they went toe-to-toe in a charity football match.
Stockton Riverside College Construction students took on teachers and support staff in the game at the SRC Sports Centre in Billingham.

“The idea was to have some fun but also help out a good cause at the same time,” said student Harry Savage, 16, of Norton.
The game followed on from a Christmas charity match which saw the staff team come out on top against the students.
“A rematch seemed like a good idea and it was a great opportunity to help out another good cause,” said Programme Area Leader for Construction, John Cartwright.
As John’s eight-year-old son, Bobby, has epilepsy and this Saturday is Purple Day, an international day aimed at raising awareness of the condition, the group chose to support Epilepsy Action.

With staff paying £5 to play and students donating £1, the cash was used to buy Easter eggs for the charity’s Hartlepool branch.
“It was good,” said Ryan Atkinson, 16, from Grangefield. “I like playing football and we also got to do something for charity."

The match was organised with the help of Learning Support Assistant, Tracey Gittus, while Tom Jones and Jamie Gilbey helped muster the staff team.
On Saturday (March 26, 2016) people across the world are encouraged to wear purple to help raise awareness of epilepsy.
