A future career in film could be in the pipeline for Sydney Gardner.

The 18-year-old from Billingham is off to study Film and TV at Teesside University.

Celebrating A level results today, the SRC Bede Sixth Form student got a B in Film Studies, a B in Media and a D in English Literature.

“I didn’t sleep last night,” she said. “I ended up getting up watching TV at 3am and by 6am I was cleaning the house.”

She said it came as a welcome relief today to learn she had secured her place at university. And the former Northfield School student was more than happy with her final grades.
