Higher education Aviation and Tourism students have been sharing their knowledge of new technological developments from the industry.

The foundation degree students presented to fellow students and staff with summative posters showcasing the results of their research.

Lecturer in FdA Aviation and Tourism Susannah Mead said: "We asked the students to create an informative poster presentation looking at current and future planned technological trends and developments."

Exploring both positive and negative impacts of future tech, students had to present their findings, demonstrating their autonomy of research and learning.

With the students covering topics such as commercialised galactic travel, biofuel, automatic flight control, electric powered aircrafts and augmented reality, Susannah said: "The students have chosen their own subjects and then carried out extensive research. Today's presentation pushed them out of their comfort zone. To present like this is not easy but they have really engaged with their audience and demonstrated the depth of their research."
