Seeing her results on paper was a special moment for Sports student Emily Good.

Results day confirmed her place at Durham University.

Off to study Sport, Exercise and Physical Activity at the university, the former Egglescliffe School student said: “It’s really good to know I’ve got my place. When I applied to Durham I didn’t really expect to get in but when I got an offer, I thought this is a bit serious now.”

Visiting the university and seeing it all had to offer Emily, who earlier this year won Stockton Council’s Young Volunteer of the Year, set her heart on going there.

Achieving three distinction stars, the highest possible grades, Emily said of her time at SRC Bede Sixth Form: “I have loved every minute. The teachers are really good and it’s like a big family.”
