There’s nothing like an unexpected A* grade to make your day. Just ask Elliot Llewellyn.

The 18-year-old from Stockton is celebrating after getting the grades he needs to study Primary Education at York St John University.

Picking up C grades in A level Classical Civilisation and English Literature, he smashed his target with an A* in English Language.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said the former Grangefield Academy student.

Of choosing to study at SRC Bede Sixth Form, he said it was the College’s reputation that brought him to Billingham.

“I’ve met a lot of new people and made some good friends. I’ve absolutely loved it,” he said.

Now Elliot is looking forward to starting university.
