With ambitions to become a social worker the future is looking bright for Corin Brown.

She says it was studying Health and Social Care at Stockton Riverside College that set her on the route to her future career.

Taking part in a whole host of work placements, she said: "It has helped to make me more confident."

Picking up her Level 3 qualification this week, Corin now plans to move on to the Level 4 Certificate in Health and Social Care.

She said: "When I started this course I had an idea that I wanted to work in care but had no idea what the setting would be. I knew I wanted to do something helping children and families but it was while on the course that I decided I wanted to be a social worker."

Looking back at her time at the college, she said: "The college is a nice environment and the teachers are really approachable and friendly."

And the best bit, she says, is definitely the friendships she has made.
