Get involved in the Sports Academy

Take a break from the books and try one of the sessions on offer at our SRC Sports Academy. There’s a whole host of sporting activities on offer, whether you are a beginner or have a particular sporting talent we can help you to develop. Many of our sessions are delivered by our own Sports students.

Take a trip somewhere new

You will get the chance to take part in lots of visits and trips. Recent trips have included visits to Manchester, London and Barcelona. Students have also tested their outdoor skills with expeditions to Keswick and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Enjoy our Respect Festival

Every year we put the focus on respect in a unique festival dedicated to sharing experiences, cultures and building a greater understanding of equality and diversity. Whether it’s inspirational talks from guest visitors, tasting new foods, or even having a go at playing the African drums, this is about looking outside of the everyday and gaining a greater understanding of those around you.

Prep for your future at progression day

We want to help you make the right choices for you. Our annual Progression Day offers the chance to explore a selection of the amazing opportunities ahead of you.

With speakers from a selection of universities and employers, including the armed forces and police, this is a day to both inform and inspire.

Have your say in the student council

Your Student Council represents you and can help you through college life.

Each year, two presidents are elected, one from each year group. The rest of the council is made up from tutor representatives, one from each tutor group.

This year, the council’s aim has been to make an impact for future students, and create a community where they can affect change. The council listens to students’ opinions and has meetings with the director to ensure that you have the best college experience.

So far, activities have included:

  • Collecting food donations for Billingham Food Bank
  • Raising money for Children in Need
  • Fundraising has included car washing, face painting, Christmas jumper days, cake sales and sponsored runs.
  • The council is currently in the process of organising their end of year celebrations.
