SRC Bede Sixth Form was delighted to host the Royal British Legion Northumbria Annual Conference.

The event welcomed members, volunteers and guests from across the region’s 41 Royal British Legion (RBL) branches.

The Northumbria County Annual Conference, is a celebration of the year’s achievements and looks forward to the year ahead. It also offers the chance to acknowledge special achievements and hear from guests speakers.

Stockton Riverside College Group’s Chair of the Board of Governors Mark White was proud to open proceedings.

A member of the Billingham branch of the RBL, he said: “We are very proud to support the Royal British Legion and it means a huge amount to us to lay a wreath annually in Stockton, Billingham and in Redcar.”

With many staff and students at the College Group veterans themselves, Mark said to host the event at SRC Bede in Billingham means all the more as it brings together two aspects of his life of which he is extremely proud.
