Public Services students led the act of remembrance at the College’s Teesdale site to mark Armistice Day.
Sqn Ldr Neville Dart, the College’s Head of Infrastructure, said: “It has become part of the tradition of the College that we always take a short period of time, every year, on Armistice Day, to remember.”
Bringing people together for the short service, the College honoured a two minute silence at 11am.
Neville, who served in the RAF Reserve Commission up until 2008, said: “According to the Royal British Legion remembrance is part of modern British life, its culture and heritage.
“It allows us to remember and honour all those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and it allows us to reflect on what’s happened in the past and to think about what it means to give up your life for your country and for people that you don’t even know.”
