When were you a student here at SRC?
2009-2011

What do you remember from your time here at SRC?
The training and opportunities given to me and other students at SRC was a fantastic stepping stone to further fulfil my training in PA; I was fortunate enough to experience the new building with all the new facilities. It was also great to work alongside theatre professionals and ex-students and perform shows in working Theatres such as The Arc in Stockton.

What shows were you in and what parts did you play?
I played the title role of Peter in the Christmas show of Peter Pan, Nick Piazza in the summer show of Fame: The Musical and Joseph in the Christmas show of Rock Nativity.

Where else have you studied after your time at SRC?
During my final year of training at SRC I was offered a place and scholarship to The Arts Educational Schools London, where I began a 3 year BA Hons degree in Musical Theatre in September 2011.
I also studied Motion Capture Performance in Video Game and Film at Rada School of Acting and Shepperton Film Studios in 2014.

What was your first professional job and where?
My first Professional job was, and still is, Billy Elliot the Musical UK & Ireland Tour 2015-2017. I’m currently Ensemble/1st Cover Tony/Acro Captain & Fight Captain.

Are you involved with any other performing arts organisations and where? (e.g. theatre schools, clubs etc.)
Before leaving to train at Drama School in London I was part of, and performed for, The North Ormesby Minstrels and Teeside Musical Theatre Company. I also helped compete in the Musical Theatre category for DanceWise Dance School.

What was your favourite professional job?
My favourite professional job has to be Billy Elliot the Musical; being part of the very 1st UK & Ireland touring company has been incredibly special and has given me some great responsibility. It’s such a powerful show and with it being set in the North East, it’s a perfect show to start my career.

List your industry experience and roles you’ve undertaken. This may include any teaching or technical-theatre work etc.
I performed twice at the Olivier Awards at the Royal Opera House in 2012 and 2013, performed alongside Theatre Professional, Peter Polycarpou at the Garrick Theatre in 2012 and also assisted the Technical Team on The Railway Children at Kings Cross Theatre in 2014.
