At Stockton Riverside College, we think it’s important to celebrate the success of our students, and boy do we have a lot to celebrate.

First up we have former Musical Theatre student Lewis who is preparing to take the lead role in the West-End play, Witness for the Prosecution.

Having completed the Level 3 Musical Theatre course here at Stockton Riverside College, the former English Martyrs student moved on to The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before heading to London where he’s starred in BBC dramas and the Superdrug Christmas advert.

When asked why Lewis chose Stockton Riverside College, he said it was the reputation of the performing arts courses that attracted him. He said: “I knew quite a lot of people who had done my course and had moved on to drama school or had success in the West End.”

Next up, we are celebrating double success in Aviation where two of our former students have been awarded their ‘wings’ by British Airways. Caitlin, 18, and Jade, 21, have both began their careers in the sky working as cabin crew and have been flying to destinations such as Barbados, New York and Las Vegas.

When asked about their favourite part of their Aviation course they both agreed that it was the trips and courses they benefited from. “My favourite was the conflict management training; we learned how to restrain and handcuff passengers,” said Jade.

Caitlin credits her success to her time spent studying Aviation with Stockton Riverside College. She said: “I don’t think I’d have got the job with British Airways if I hadn’t have studied aviation. It’s definitely prepared me for my job.”

It’s not too late to apply for Musical Theatre, Aviation or any of our other courses starting in September. Check out all of the courses we offer here.
