Introduction

The Level 3 Certificate is a natural progression from the Level 2 certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care sector. Learners who are interested in, or are new to working in adult social care will find this their next challenge, to expand their knowledge and skills whilst still looking for/or are new to working in the sector.

What will I learn

Level 3 is ideal if you are working in Adult Social Care, or have basic knowledge of the area, and are looking to build on your learning. Level 3 comprises nine mandatory units, with the key units including: Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care Understanding how to handle information in social care settings Principles of diversity, equality and inclusion in adult social care settings.

How will I learn

Students will attend SRC for 1 full day per week to gain the knowledge from the workshop sessions. Students will have the use of virtual learning environment to access resources, and complete online tasks.

This qualification can support the process of applying for supervisor roles, support your application to HE courses and prepare yourself for and Access course.
