Introduction

The Level 2 Technical Award in Constructing and Maintaining the Built Environment and the Level 2 Technical Award in Designing and Planning the Built Environment allow learners to gain theoretical knowledge and a small number of technical skills related to the built environment sector, not usually acquired through general education. Learners could progress to a broad range of academic and/or vocational qualifications post-16.

What will I learn

Students will explore the structure of the construction and built environment industry. How different trades deliver on various construction projects. Students will carry out a selection of realistic construction practical tasks related to repair, maintenance and refurbishment of buildings.
