College life is more than your studies, it can be an opportunity to try something new, develop your skills and build friendships. Enrichment includes a great variety of events, activities, clubs and workshops which you can get involved in.
What is tutorial?
While studying, students will be offered a range of tutorial activities that can support their overall development. Tutorials can cover many subjects including healthy lifestyle, mental health, Prevent and Fundamental British Values. These sessions may be delivered by tutors or external, specialist speakers
Activities and Events
Stockton Riverside College holds a number of annual events to celebrate diversity, promote positive mental health, share the importance of maths and English and every year we look for other topics which affect our students.
We invite specialist external speakers into the college to share their knowledge on topics including respect, equality, health and wellbeing. These sessions add value to students’ education and enables them to make informed choices about their life style choices and views.
We enjoy doing our bit to support others and raising awareness and money for charities is a great opportunity to learn. We also love an excuse to dress up, eat cake and do something a little silly.
V @ SRC is a scheme which all students can get involved in. The group meets regularly to volunteer for local projects either doing manual work, sharing views or caring for others. Volunteering looks good on your CV too!
The Student Association is a great opportunity to work alongside Student Services and other like-minded students. They identify areas of development in the College, challenge working practices, implement action and create positive change which supports the students and their college. The Student Association is always looking for new members with new ideas.
