What is the Students' Union?

The Students' Union is a brilliant opportunity that lets you meet new people and make new friends, set up clubs and events that you want to take part in. Whether it's setting up a 5-aside league, dance group or even a games club.... the choice is yours.

Also, have your say on how the college is run, tell us what we are doing right and what we need to work on so we can improve the student experience. It also gives you amazing opportunities to add to your CV or UCAS application.​​​​​​​

What can you do in the Students' Union?

A Student Union Active Member

In this role, students will be attending meetings once a term, getting involved in SU Surgeries and creating societies or Clubs.​

* A Surgery is a public event where students can ask the SU question and speak to the officers, active members and presidents.

​A Student Union Officer​

A SU officer takes the lead on a specific area within the SU, The officer roles are; Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Officer LGBT+ Officer Green Initiatives Green Officer, Physical Wellbeing Officer, Accessibility Officers.​

Student Union Vice President

The SU Vice President is an elected position; they lead and support all the SU Officers and support the SU President with the day-to-day running of the SU. ​

Student Union President​

The SU President is an elected position; they lead the SU, working with the Enrichment Team to develop and build the SU and action student feedback and requests.
