What will I learn

You will develop the skills needed to work with babies and young children through a combination of theory and practical sessions. Covering subjects including development, safeguarding, health and safety and organising activities, you will learn how children develop effective techniques for interacting with young children. You will also get the chance to apply what you have learnt on a work placement.

How will I learn

The qualification is delivered through a range of both taught and practical sessions, enabling learners to obtain the skills required to work with young children. This qualification incorporates mandatory placement (minimum 250 hours) to gain practical experience of working with young children.

Additional Information

Alongside this qualification learners will attend functional skills or GCSE maths and English to support their further development in these areas.
