Governing Body

On behalf of the FE Corporation, I would like to welcome you to Stockton Riverside College’s website. Governors are very proud of the significant achievements of the College, including Ofsted judgements of ‘good’ in both 2014 and 2017, merger with NETA Training Group and, most recently, merger with Redcar & Cleveland College on 1 August 2018. We are confident that students across all our campuses are receiving very high quality education, training and support to prepare them for exciting futures in higher education and employment.

The College is housed in attractive, modern and well equipped buildings in Stockton, Thornaby, Billingham and Redcar. The Teesdale campus in Thornaby, close to Stockton Centre, and the Redcar & Cleveland College campus, both focus on general and vocational further and higher education, tailored to local communities. Academic courses are offered at SRC Bede Sixth Form in Billingham and the college’s Sports Centre is situated close to this Sixth Form building. NETA Training Group provides a range of industrial training, as well as apprenticeships and some specialist 16 to 18 provision. The Skills Academy, also in Billingham, offers introductory level courses for 14-18 year olds with a focus on practical learning. The College also delivers some provision off-campus in partnership with employers, and voluntary and community organisations.

I hope that the information on the website will be of interest to you. Should you have any queries about the governance arrangements, or if you are interested in becoming a governor or involved with the college, please contact the Clerk to the Corporation (sarah.thompson@stockton.ac.uk or 01642 865415) who will be pleased to provide more information.
