Youngsters are invited to come and find out what the Prince’s Trust Team programme can do for them at a fun series of dedicated open events taking place across the Tees Valley.

The Team programme is a free 12-week personal development course offering those aged 16 to 25 and not currently in employment, education or training, the chance to build their employability skills by taking part in practical activities and challenges.

With courses delivered at locations across the Tees Valley in partnership with Stockton Riverside College, Prince’s Trust Co-ordinator Matt Wigmore said: “We want young people to come along, have a go and see what they can achieve.

“The drop-in sessions will include interactive team building activities, offer the chance to meet the teams along with lots of games and refreshments.”

Introducing the Middlesbrough Team, Breckon Hill Community Centre will be opening its doors from 10am until 2pm on Thursday August 30.

While youngsters living in and around Redcar, are invited to the Team taster session at Redcar and Cleveland College on Wednesday September 12, also from 10am to 2pm.

Matt said: “The Prince’s Trust Team programme offers a fantastic opportunity for young people to discover what they are good at, to think about and get advice about their future career options and hopefully help them on their way to achieving their goals.”

The course is made up of a series of tasks including working on a community project, fundraising, an outdoor adventure residential and work placement.
