Terms and Conditions

CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE LETTING OF
STOCKTON RIVERSIDE COLLEGE PREMISES


1. Hirers will be held responsible for any damage to premises or property which occurs as a result of their use.

2. Hirers must ensure that premises and grounds are left in a clean and tidy state after their use, that all litter is removed and that where items of furniture have been moved they are put back in position at the end of the letting.

3. The college has insurance cover for liabilities which it incurs as a result of lettings, but personal accident insurance and any insurance for liabilities incurred by hirers are the responsibility of hirers themselves.

4. Hirers must ensure that full supervision is provided during lettings, and the college will not be responsible for any claims which may arise as a result of negligence on the part of the hirers or their supervisors.

5. Hirers must respect the college's No Smoking policy. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the college's grounds.

6. Advance bookings are subject to a deposit of 10%. The balances of charges are due within 30 days of the hire date.

7. In the event of cancellation more than 7 days in advance of hire the deposit will be refunded subject to a deduction of £5 administration fee. Cancellation less than 7 days of hire will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

8. The college reserves the right to cancel letting arrangements, without notice if necessary. This will be only in exceptional circumstances, in the event, for example that health & safety ruling might be infringed.

9. All users of the college's IT equipment or services must comply with the college's regulations on the use of IT facilities.

10. The hirer must comply with the Fire Evacuation procedures.

11. The hirer shall fully comply with Section 3 (a) and (b) of the Public Entertainment Regulations when the Theatre is in use for public performances as follows:-

(a) provide a system acceptable to the Council’s Public Health Officer of:-

(1) Controlling entry
(2) Identifying the number of persons present on the premises at any given moment inf time.
(3) Stewarding the premises where the number of people admitted exceeds 50.

12. Failure to comply with the College’s conditions may result in the refusal of future requests to hire premises or grounds.
