Introduction to Hospitality and Catering Certificate – Entry Level 3

The entry level certificates are appropriate for a wide range of learners. The course provides learning opportunities at foundation learning level and enables learners to progress to level 1.
What will I study?
• introduction to the hospitality industry
• customer service
Plus specialist units:
• healthy eating
• basic food preparation and cooking
• serving food and drink
• food commodities
• using kitchen equipment
How will I learn?
You will learn through practical sessions in the Infinity Restaurant and Oasis Bistro, practical demonstrations and theory input.
How will I be assessed?
Continuous assessment throughout and a portfolio of evidence.
What are the entry requirements?
No formal entry requirements but an interest in hospitality and catering is important.
What are the progression/career opportunities?
If you are successful at entry level 3, you may progress to a level 1 qualification which will support reaching employment.
