
UCCE Dealing with Challenging Behaviour

An award of the University of Teesside delivered in partnership with Stockton Riverside College.
This 10 week course deals with both the underlying causes of challenging behaviour and also some of the strategies used to deal with it. It links theoretical explanations with practical examples and asks participants to draw on their own experiences for reflection.
It is a useful introduction to the issue of challenging behaviour for serving teachers and those engaged in the support of learning activities.

Entry Requirements:
In-service teachers and staff that are engaged in supporting learning activities
Qualification:
University Certificate of Continuing Education (UCCE) Behaviour Management
Progression:
This is a stand alone course but could lead to participants extending their interest via such alternatives as the National Programme for Specialist Leaders of Behaviour and Attendance which can be accredited through City and Guilds at levels 3,4 and 7
