This qualification is aimed at those working in healthcare settings who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of palliative care. This programme is also appropriate for those who have already achieved other sector specific qualifications who need to apply their understanding in a palliative care context.

Core units:

Understanding palliative care
Applying a ‘whole person’ approach to palliative care
Supporting a person with their physical care needs
Care during the final hours of life and bereavement care

Duration:
24 weeks - variable hours per week
