The course aims to prepare students for study at higher education. A range of study skills will be covered such as essay writing, presentations, research skills and report writing. We will cover a range of topics designed to add interest to your course, these may include; Sociology, Psychology, History and English. The access course runs for three days a week or 2 evenings per week for one year. Compulsory attendance at 7 Saturday classes is required (spread over the year).
A range of assessment methods will be used including essays, presentations and examinations as well as the completion of a portfolio of evidence.

Evening session - 35 weeks

Access Diploma validated by Open College Network
Progression:
Successful co mpletion can lead to entry into higher education at degree level or diploma level.
