Course Information
FdSc Complementary Therapies is an exciting new initiative within complementary therapy education, and it gives students an academic base on which to develop their practice. It aims to equip therapists with both the underpinning knowledge and skills to deliver safe and
effective therapy treatments and also to deepen their understanding of relevant ethical, legal and professional considerations when dealing with members of the public.
All students must undergo a formal interview and present qualifications already achieved.
In addition students will have an opportunity to be involved in trips to exhibitions and places of interest. There will be master classes and CPD opportunities from the industry experts.

How you are assessed
You are assessed on both your written and practical performance throughout the whole course in the interests of public and professional safety.
Entry Requirements
Below the age of 19 must have five GCSEs or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
19+ must have Level 3 qualification and/or some knowledge of complementary therapies.
Progression Route
On completion of the FdSc Complementary Therapies learners can progress onto a top-up degree with Teesside University.
