Foundation Diploma in IT (Level 1)
At level 1 you will explore the digital world and look at some areas of technology that impact the everyday and working world. You will explore working with technology in different ways, and will also get a chance to look at multimedia and to create your own multimedia product for an audience
Length of Course: 1 year
You will study:

Higher Diploma in IT (Level 2)
At level 2, you will explore and work with areas of technology including areas of technology that impact the everyday and working world. You will explore the format and functions of businesses and other organisations. You will explore working with technology in different ways, and will also get a chance to look at multimedia, innovation and innovative use of IT, communication, managing a project and will also create your own multimedia product.
Entry Requirements: (one of the following)
• 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade D or above including maths or English
• Successful completion of a Foundation Diploma qualification
• A pass in a relevant level 1 course with appropriate level of maths or English
Length of Course: 1 year

Advanced Diploma in IT (Level 3)
Explore and develop your understanding of business based I.T. issues and gain a solid understanding of the world of work and its needs related to technology systems, how technology impacts on areas of the working world, and its potential for the future. Gain a solid understanding of the needs of business and of presenting a business case for technology implementation. Explore design principles of technology systems, and learn about data analysis and programming. Develop an understanding of the impact and importance of the end user needs in relation to any technology product or system. Implement a small scale technology solution including systems availability, networking, managing implementation and change management.
Example in action:
You might, for example, respond to a real brief from a local company to design promotional materials for their products. This might include photographing their products, designing the web pages, writing the content, creating and filming a TV campaign then presenting your ideas to the company.

• 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above including maths and English
• Successful completion of a Higher Diploma qualification
• A pass in a relevant level 2 course with appropriate level of maths and English
