Access Success

Access Students

Stockton Riverside Access students secure places on the highly competitive BSc Midwifery Degree programme. Out of approximately 700 applications 7 Stockton Riverside Access Students secured places.

Kath Storey, Access Course Leader at Stockton Riverside College said: “We are so proud of our students and excited to see them moving on towards their chosen vocation. Midwifery is a highly competitive degree course with a huge demand for places; so, for seven of our students to have been offered a place on a course with only 21 spaces at Teesside University is a wonderful achievement for them and us as a college.”

Access courses are entry routes into higher education (HE) specifically designed for mature students (those aged 19+). These courses lead to a nationally recognised qualification, and are designed to help people develop the necessary confidence and knowledge for getting onto a degree or diploma course.
