Extended Project
Extended Project is not a course. It is a chance to study in depth a topic of your choice while acquiring skills considered to be essential by universities and many employers.
Course content
There is no examination. Assessment is based on the product at the end of the research and a mandatory presentation. The product can be in a variety of forms; it can be an artefact, an exhibition, a performance or a 5000 word essay or report. Indeed most things that have academic credibility are possible choices of project. If you choose to develop a product in a non written form, you must supplement your result with 1000 words to explain the product. There are a number of introductory sessions to help you with the documentation and to provide guidance on research techniques, referencing, source analysis and avoiding plagiarism.
