
Army Further Education (FE) Bursary Scheme
What is the Army FE Bursary?
The army has teamed up with Stockton Riverside College (SRC) to offer the Army FE Bursary Scheme. You get £1000 while you’re studying at college, then, subject to meeting Army medical and physical fitness requirements you will progress onto Army Basic training after which you’ll train for a job and start an exciting career. Once you have completed Army Basic training, you’ll qualify for a further £1000.

What courses are covered?
There are a range of courses the Army is supporting. All the courses will give you a fully recognised qualification and the basics you need for a job in the Army. You could choose a course in IT, Engineering, Catering, Public Services, Sport, Construction or Vehicle Repair & Technology to name but a few.

How to apply
You can visit your local ACO in Middlesbrough and fill in an application form or attend an information and application briefing during SRC induction week.
What’s in it for me?
If you successfully complete your college course and pass the Army selection tests you will be required to commit to four years with the Army as a soldier.
