Higher Education Financial Support at Stockton Riverside College
For all Higher Education courses offered in partnership with a particular university students will receive an invoice for fees from that university. The exceptions to this are the following professional programmes when students will be invoiced directly by the college:
Financial assistance may be available to those studying certain programmes, dependent upon the individual circumstances. Those applying for B.A. (Honours) Degrees, Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) and full-time foundation degree programmes should contact Student Finance England (SFE) on 0845 6077577 for information on financial support that may be accessed and how to apply for that support. Financial support for part-time foundation degrees will be available through SFE from August 2011 onwards.
The individual universities have staff available to discuss possible individual student financial entitlements and they are able to provide details of university-based grants and bursaries. Please contact the Student Services offices of the relevant university:

Equivalent or Lower Qualifications (ELQ)
Regulations were introduced in the academic year 2008/2009 with regard to the level of qualifications already held by individuals, referred to as Equivalent or Lower Qualifications (ELQ), and the entitlement to fee support for programmes of study at the same level or below those already held, particularly the following programmes - AAT, ACCA, CIPD and CMI.
In cases where a student already holds a qualification at a level equivalent or higher to the course they wish to study on, no funding can be drawn down to support this provision thus the course fee will be considerably more than the published price.
Further information is available from student services at the universities and in the college and should be sought before applying for a course.
