Mon-Thurs: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Fri: 9.00 am to 4.30 pm
When you walk in to Bede you know you are in a place where learning is important. The LRC is literally at the centre of the sixth form and the student services are all available to support you in your studies whilst at the college. You have access to high quality learning resources including books, journals, videos and a wide range of electronic materials. Once you have read and agreed to the computer use policy you are given your username and password which gets you onto the computer facilities. The LRC staff are there to help you so that you have people to talk to as well as all the electronic resources. The LRC contains 4,500 books, 45 journals as well as daily newspapers, videos, company annual reports etc.
E-library
The e-library is where you will find easy access to a range of electronic resources to help you in your study; from electronic resources such as Infotrac, Proquest Literature, Britannia Online etc. to help guides on using these resources and useful web links. Access to the e-library through the VLE will be explained to you when you enrol at SRC Bede Sixth Form. Here you will be able to access various databases, which the college subscribes to. We can also arrange for you to access these services at home via the Athens Service.
